Owl Eyes

Located at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, Tennessee.  A salt kettle from Saltville, Virginia and two gristmill stones. President Lincoln ordered the salt works destroyed, which 4 generals did by cracking these kettles. They were quickly repaired and put back into service. They were buried to prevent their destruction again when the Union Army came back. A school was built at the site, then over a hundred years later, when it was being torn down, they found this kettle.
