Beaverslide & Wagon at the Homestead

My obligatory beaverslide picture. This one is owned by the Marchesseault family on the place my great-grandparents homesteaded in 1888 at Polaris, Montana. The unwelcome hawk is being chased off by the smaller bird. Sometimes he was being chased by a small flock. No one liked him.

Very few of these are stillĀ in operation after they were used for about 100 years.
