Spring on the Big Hole

Saturday we were in Dillon for a birthday party, intending to return on Monday. One of Dana’s friends was called home from Alaska to see her ill father and was scheduled to fly out of Pilot Station, where she teaches. The only way in and out is Era Aviation, you may have seen the program on TV about Era. Monday, the wind there was 120-mph, so they couldn’t fly. Meanwhile our car had electrical difficulties, so we took it to a shop to be worked on, but the parts were in Portland, OR. That meant, we stayed until Wednesday. The weather that day was extraordinary, so we came home through the Big Hole Valley (Jackson and Wisdom). It took us a long time to get to Hamilton because Dana made me stop all along the way, and even take side trips to┬ácapture a few scenes.
